Uyuni Salt Flats or Salt Lake of Uyuni (Salar de Uyuni) is the world’s largest salt flat at 10,582 km² (4,085 sq mi), almost 5 times bigger than Tokyo and 102 times the size the Bonneville Salt Flats (not far from Salt Lake City) in the United States at 104 km² (40 sq mi).
Option Salt hotel: After lunch and after having visiting the Salt flats, drive to the salt hotel located near Salar de Uyuni. These hotels are ranked in the world’s top ten most unique hotels; they offer an unexpected level of comfort with facilities constructed entirely out of salt with stunning views out to the lake. Once we have checked in, we will have time to explore the hotel and relax before our evening meal in the restaurant. (L, D)

Departure by plane to Uyuni at 06:30 or 08:00
the flight takes around 45min, arrival and reception and start of our tour visiting the train cemetery, only 5 minutes away from Uyuni. After that we go towards the great Salt Lake, visit the Incahuasi Island, which is one of the central tourist attraction. We will follow the little path to arrive at the top of the island from where we will get the amazing 360 º view on the Salar. Lunch and free time to enjoy the view. We will see water bubbling on the service, known as ‘Ojos de Salar’, which comes from the underground river of the Tunupa Volcano. Afterwards we drive in direction to the village of Colchani to visit the salt factories and souvenirs market. Finally, we head back across the lake arriving to our hotel in Uyuni. Rest of the day is free at leisure (L)

On wise time hotel pick up and transfer to the airport, flight back to La Paz. Arrival in La Paz and transfer to your hotel.
